Interior

In the country, amongst a small Portuguese community and surrounded by citrus groves, the house is situated to the south east of Silves

The house consists of two double bedrooms (one with twin beds, the other with a double bed), and a single bedroom with an additional put-me-up bed suitable for a child. There is also a bed settee in the lounge. We do provide a travel cot and high chair.

There are two bathrooms, a modern kitchen, a good sized sitting room and separate dining room.

The house has local and satellite TV and a video player. The kitchen includes a microwave, blender etc. and there is a washing machine. The house is cosy in winter, with a wood-burning stove and electric panel radiators. In summer the shutters keep the interior cool. Whilst the house can accommodate up to 7, many of our guests are couples.

  
The maid visits twice during the week, plus Saturday to do the basic cleaning and to change and wash the bed linen and towels.

Outside

Outside is a swimming pool and garden, with flowering shrubs and citrus trees.Guests are free to enjoy freshly picked citrus fruits from the garden. There is a sheltered patio running along the front of the house, a poolside barbecue is provided.

Location

There are 2 large supermarkets in Silves (Modelo and Lidl), many smaller shops and banks and also plenty of restaurants in the area. Silves has some tourist attractions too - the castle, the cathedral, the museum and a cultural entertainment/restaurant complex, created in 1999 out of an old cork factory, called the 'Fabrica Ingles'.
