Casa dos Arcos is one of three houses that may be rented singly or in any combination.  Two or more families (or generations) wishing to go on holiday together but wanting a measure of independence may favour this arrangement.  Large parties (e.g. golfing parties) can be accommodated up to a maximum of 20.  
All the houses are attractively furnished in traditional Portuguese style and include daily maid, bed linen and towels, English representative and baby sitter and complimentary welcome pack with generous selection of food and wine.
 

Interior

Casa Dos Arcos:
Drawing Room:  Handsome, spacious drawing room with Algarvean open fireplace and wood burning stove.

Kitchen/dining room:  Large traditionally furnished dining room with fully equipped kitchen area.  French windows open onto the garden. Kitchen facilities include washing machine, fridge-freezer, oven, microwave, hob, kettle, toaster, cutlery and crockery.

Bedrooms:  4 twin bedrooms - 3 of the bedrooms have French windows which open onto the terraces.  There is also a double sofa bed in the lounge - the Casa can accommodate up to 10 people.

Bathrooms:  2 large marble-tiled bathrooms with baths, wash basins, w.c. and bidets.

Daily maid, linen and bath towels are provided but please take your own beach towels.
 

Outside

Charming patio garden with wall lighting, flower beds and full barbeque.  Also sun terraces with dramatic views. Small private pool in a sheltered setting - regularly cleaned. Outside furniture includes loungers and dining furniture.
 

Location

Figueira is located in the West Algarve approx 8 miles west of Lagos.  The village has changed little with the twentieth century.  Brightly painted houses look onto winding cobbled streets.  
 
The area, generally agreed to be the most beautiful in the Algarve, consists of gently rolling hills with a wealth of walks through fig and almond groves.  This National Park is the Algarve's only conservation area and is richly endowed with wild flowers, birds and rare butterflies. 
 
The village is under a mile from the completely untouched coastline of small sandy coves, and stands approximately 100 feet above sea level in open countryside overlooking a wooded valley dotted with white windmills and eucalyptus forests.
Nearby Figueira Beach  is sheltered by cliffs all round with a ruined fortress on top and , as it cannot be reached by car , tends to be deserted even in high season.
